This is a prayer regarding the cornerstone of our lives

(Please don’t consider undertaking this request to God unless you’ve first dealt with your known false refuges and ungodly covenants.)

Lord Jesus, I confess that You alone are the Chief Cornerstone—the stone that was rejected that became the head of the corner. Before ever the world came to be, You are the cornerstone laid down to position and orient the earth within the heavens—and as the foundation for the world was set, the angels shouted for joy at Your presence and the morning stars sang praises that, even now, still echo across the universe.

You, Lord Jesus, are the true Mercy-Seat, the gateway between heaven and earth, the bridge back to the Father, the threshold stone where atonement—the at-one-ment of covenant—is mediated, the Door of the Sheep into divine pastures.

Lord, I need You as my cornerstone. The very first cell of my being, the original cornerstone that multiplied to become me, partakes of the nature of fallen humanity, not of Your divine nature. But I ask You as the Lord and Redeemer of time, and I ask my heavenly Father—the One who promised through Isaiah to lay a new cornerstone in Zion, a tried and precious cornerstone of sure foundation—to replace my cornerstone. As the temple of the Holy Spirit, I ask for that promise to be fulfilled in me. And I ask that my replacement cornerstone be none other than You, Jesus of Nazareth, as Saviour of my life and Lord of my days.

Lord, I renounce any ungodly, unholy covenants spoken over my original cornerstone by me or others. Please forbid retaliation against me, my loved ones, or anything You have given me to guard and steward, as I ask for this cancellation. Please do not allow any transfer of any covenant clause into the new and renewed temple of my body. Instead please forgive my complicity of the past with the fallen threshold guardians, and annul any agreement I have made with them or their allies. Please cancel these agreements at the Cross of Jesus and replace the cornerstone, the foundation, the door, the walls, the roof and all that pertains to the house of my being with Jesus of Nazareth, Immanuel—God with us, with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and with Your presence, God Almighty.

I ask for Your protection, empowerment and covenant defence all through the time this replacement and reconstruction take place. Thank You for Your immeasurable and ongoing favour towards me.
